First, pure silk fabric is stretched onto a frame. The design
is then drawn on the scarf using a mixture of heated paraffin and beeswax. Multiple colors of silk dyes are applied. Once
this is dry, the entire scarf is coated in wax, which is then crinkled up to produce cracking. The scarf is reattached to
the frame and more dye is applied to the cracks to produce a batik effect. All wax is then ironed out, and the dyes are set
using a heat or steaming process. Each scarf is individually designed and created. The process takes over two hours per scarf.
All scarves are hand washable.
